Soffit, Fascia and Siding
At Only Roofing we prefer to speak in plain language and not use industry jargon when talking with customers. We know roofing. It’s our stock and trade. But we don’t
expect you to know all the ins and outs of the roofing trade. You may hear some roofing terms that are unfamiliar to you when you start to investigate roofing repair and maintenance. Like Siding, Soffit and Fascia. for instance.
Here’s What These Roofing
Terms Mean
The soffit is the horizontal board that runs along the underside of your roof’s overhang. It’s usually made of wood, but it can also be made of aluminum or vinyl. The fascia is the vertical board that’s attached to the ends of your roof rafters. It’s what your gutters are attached to. And your siding is the exterior cladding that covers the walls of your home.
